Southern California Property Injury Lawyers Fighting for People Hurt by Unsafe Homes & Buildings

The Brinton Firm is a Los Angeles-based personal injury law firm focused exclusively on injuries, illness, and displacement caused by unsafe homes and buildings. We represent tenants, renters, and property occupants across Southern California — and we don’t get paid unless you win.

Our Story

The Brinton Firm was founded in 2016 by Matthew Brinton after recognizing a critical gap: tenants and renters injured by unsafe housing conditions had almost no legal representation. Property owners had lawyers. Insurance companies had lawyers. Tenants didn’t.

Today, the firm has recovered over $45 million for clients across Southern California — people hurt in fires, sickened by mold and carbon monoxide, injured by building failures, and displaced by uninhabitable conditions. Every case the firm takes is on a contingency basis: no fees unless we win.

The firm is headquartered in Los Angeles and serves clients throughout Southern California, including Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego.
